The Office for Educational Integration refers to the "Right to the Education, Youth Policy, Sports and Relationships with University Department" of the Municipality of Brescia and it is responsible for the planning, delivery, monitoring and verification of specialized education assistance and educational integration of students with disabilities residing in the municipality Brescia and enrolled in city schools, preschools, primary and secondary public schools, comprehensive and private ones.
The Office, in particular, is responsible for:
- Management of the requests made by schools on the basis of Functional Diagnosis prepared by Public Health Service responsible;
- Evaluating each situation by providing the coaching of pupils in difficulty by an operator for specialist care and personal autonomy.In order to quantify the service provided, the following variables are considered as follows:
- indications of the specialist and therapists audiences
- presence of the assistance teacher
- pathology
- weekly attendance
- degree of autonomy already achieved by the pupil
- articulation of PEI and preparation of activities of special nature and needs
For the school year 2014/2015 the Office for Integration shall ensure the service of specialist care also for resident pupils with disabilities who are enrolled in high-schools as provided in .GC 257 of 15 May 2013 and D.G.P. 173 of May 24, 2013 following the Judgment TAR 1540/12.
