PREFERENZE AMBIENTALI DI FORMICA LUGUBRIS ZETT. (HYMENOPTERA: FORMICIDAE) NELLE PREALPI ITALIANE: INDAGINE NELLA RISERVA NATURALE BIOGENETICA “GIOVETTO DI PALLINE” (BRESCIA – BERGAMO)

Riassunto – Sono state studiate 43 aree-campione ampie 6.500 m2 all’interno della Riserva “Giovetto di Palline”, per definire le preferenze ambientali di Formica lugubris Zett. in questo tratto delle Prealpi Lombarde. È stato in tal modo possibile valutare l’importanza di altitudine, orientamento del versante, pendenza e profondità del terreno, umidità e tessitura del suolo, fisionomia della vegetazione, tipologia dello strato arboreo-arbustivo, densità degli alberi, sottobosco e sua altezza.

Abstract – Habitat preferences of Formica lugubris Zett. (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) in Italian Prealps: a study in the natural biogenetic Reserve “Giovetto di Palline” (provinces of Brescia and Bergamo – N. Italy). 43 sample-areas of 6.500 sq.mts in the Reserve “Giovetto di Palline”, have been studied, in order to describe the habitat preferences of Formica lugubris Zett. in this part of Lombardian Prealps. It has been so possible to evaluate the importance of altitude, side orientation, slope and depth of the ground, moisture and texture of the soil, fisionomy of the vegetation, typology of trees and shrubs, density of the trees, underwood and its highness.
